Might be the only photograph I have ever taken in a concert. (And I have been to “a few”.)
Almost 15 years we are without Jhonn Balance (and Coil). And almost 9 years without Peter Christopherson. The archival recordings are still being released though. This score was created together with Danny Hyde in the early 90’s.
A mix of experimental electronic music and Twin Peaks. The creative range is stunning.
A heavy Slint influence (it’s good). The only released song. There are live recordings which are pretty awesome.
Sadly, no worldwide available link (some of you might not be able to play). But too good not to share.
By the way, in terms of “impressions”, for me, there is some connection with a different genre—with Daniel Brandt’s work (https://danielbrandt1.bandcamp.com/).
Mark Hollis has died.
Talk Talk (1981–1991) are often remembered for their last two avant-garde albums as creators of experimental music that would be later called “post-rock”. Their first two synth pop albums are, in my opinion, overlooked. All their works are incredible and unique.
Mark largely disappeared after 1991, then recorded a brilliant solo album, released in 1998, and disappeared again. Now forever.
